Important changes affecting our services
At Sant Jordi Hostels, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. However, we regret to inform you of a significant change to our services for the Summer 2024 season.
1. Closure of the Pool at Rock Palace Hostel due to Drought.
Regrettably, the pool at our beloved Rock Palace hostel will remain closed throughout the Summer 2024 season (from April 1 to October 31). This decision is necessitated by the ongoing drought affecting Barcelona and its surrounding areas. Local authorities have imposed restrictions, prohibiting the filling of pools in the region, either fully or partially.
We understand the disappointment this may cause for those anticipating a refreshing swim during their stay. Nonetheless, in light of the current circumstances, it is imperative that we take proactive measures to conserve our precious resources and contribute to water sustainability within our community.
2. Drought Alert in Barcelona
It’s crucial to recognize that Barcelona is currently under a drought alert. This situation has compelled local authorities to enforce measures aimed at promoting responsible water usage. Among these measures is the strict prohibition of filling pools, both wholly and partially.
At Sant Jordi Hostels, we are staunch advocates for environmental stewardship and sustainability. Therefore, we wholeheartedly support these initiatives designed to safeguard our water reservoirs and alleviate the impacts of the drought within our community.
3. Monitoring the Situation and Commitment to Our Guests
We want to assure you that we will be diligently monitoring the drought situation in Barcelona. Should conditions significantly improve, we stand ready to reassess the situation and, if feasible, reopen the pool for our guests’ enjoyment.
Our unwavering commitment remains centered on providing you with a memorable and comfortable stay at our facilities. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate through these challenges together.
