One of the best places I’ve stayed at. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the atmosphere at the hostel very relaxed. For the facilities provided I’d have expected it to charge at least twice as much as I paid. Would definitely stay here next time I visit Barcelona.

Everything was great. Nothing to ruin your stay. Staff, kitchen, beds, showers, toilets, lockers…okey. Moreover with the card they give you, you can enter the hostel, open your room’s door or lock your locker which is really big enough to fit your huge backpack.

I stayed in 4 different hostels in Barcelona, and Sant Jordi Gracia was the best of them. If I go to Barcelona again, I don’t hesitate to book from there again. Cleanless, atmosphere, and especially kitchen facilities were great and such a cheap…

A great hostel in a superb central location. Even though we stayed slightly out of season (late October) there was lots going on each evening at the Hostel including Mattias’s excellent Tapas. Facilities were really good: clean and well-equipped. We’d definitely stay here again. The staff were all superb. Friendly, well-informed and eager to help.

This is definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed at – ever! Thoughtfully and beautifully designed with great attention to detail, it offers all the amenities a backpacker could want or need. Friendly staff, comfortable spaces and beds, free computers usage, wifi and secure lockers, hairdryers, a library of guidebooks, cool neighbourhood – I wish all hostels would refer to Sant Jordi Gracia as a benchmark. Excellent hostel, I highly recommend it.

This was my favourite hostel of my trip so far. Great common area and kitchen. Easy to meet people and make friends. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Feels very welcoming & comfortable. The beds were super comfortable and much better than any I have slept in at hostels. I loved this hostel and none of my other hostels along the way even compared.

thanks for everything, Sant Jordi Gracia was exactly was i was waiting for. “More than an hostel, a life experience”, it’s written on the widow outside and it’s true inside. Clean, secure, fun and in a really good location. I did’nt know Barcelona and it was the best way to discover it. I came by bike from France and this hostel was the perfect place where to be in Barcelona for me. Thanks for everything.

Absolutetly loved this place….. For more than one reason… The facilities, the people, the location (out of tourist areas) the nightly outings with all other Saint Jordi Hostels… Best and easiest place ever to meet new people and have an awesome time in Barcelona…. Highly recommend… dont second guess this place… BEST in EUROPE!! Well done guys…

In my opinion, this is the best hostel in Barcelona. Located away from the obnoxious craziness of La Rambla, it is situated in Gràcia, a quieter, quainter part of Barcelona with more culture. The hostel feels brand new, with extremely clean living areas, a full kitchen, keycard access, large lockers, a terrace, and the live-in staff is incredibly nice. Plus the regular events you’d expect from a hostel. Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed in in Europe. Highly recommended.

If you’ve stayed in a fair few hostels, you’ll notice that the Sant Jordi team know how to set up and run a hostel. Facilities out the wazoo, rooms and massive lockers were all card accessed, kitchen and numerous chill out areas are spot on. Had cook ups and events every night we were on. Team is super and epically helpful.

Hands down the best hostel I’ve stayed in (and I’ve been on the road for 2 months). Absolutely fantastic staff who organizes events for the hostel (going to clubs, bars, making tapas at the hostel, bbqs). Great environment to meet people, which is especially useful to owe traveling alone. It’s near 2 metro stops and walking distance to everything. I even stayed 2 extra nights because I loved it so much!

Best hostel I’ve stayed in throughout EU. Great staff, easy commute and the location was walking distance to Sagrada, Casa de Batllo, parc de guell. The best part about my stay there was that it was away from all the touristy locations, comfy lounge rooms, and that it was around the LOCAL neighbourhoods. Great stay and will be back soon. S/O to STAFF!!!

Great place to stay, brand new hostel with helpful and friendly staff, cater to all the needs of your average backpacker/traveller – fun nights out mingling with the other guests plus free internet and great rooms. The location is also fab Gracia is such a cool place and very accessible to the centre of Barcelona. STAY HERE!

the cleanest hostel i have stayed at (i think it was opened in april). 6 new computers for internet usage, wi-fi was fast, new kitchen and facilities, and the most impressive thing was the level of security – you get an electronic swipe card to get access to your dorm AND you get an electronically locked locker which is only opened by your swipe card. good location in an arty/grungy area of town away from the tourist crowds around la rambla.

I used to live in Barcelona and I was back for a few days. This hostel is absolutely amazing. There’s no better location in Barcelona then this one. The Gracia area is the most cosy area of Barcelona, and with the green (L3) metro-line everything is within 10 minutes. So if you’re planning to go to Barcelona book this hostel and avoid the hostels in the centre.

This was by far the cleanest hostel we had stayed at during our time in Europe. I also appreciated the firm mattresses and decent size pillows. The lights off policy was amazing too. I got the best sleep there because of that policy!

St. Jordi Gracia was amazing! We stayed at four different hostels in Europe, and this one was by far the BEST. It was clean, and the staff were beyond impressive. Another distinguishing factor was the awesome kitchen! We had such a fun time buying foods and cooking them in the kitchen with other travelers. The ONLY recommendation I would make would be to decrease the cost of laundry. It was more expensive than any other hostel we went to. St. Jordi Gracia is the best hostel in Europe!

Ive been to lots of hostels in the last years…but this one is most certainly the best ive ever been to…Perfect facilities…you even hace a locker than you open with the same card as you open the front door, your room door…sooooo modern…an the staff is just awesome :) …if you havent been to st. jordi gracia…you havent really seen the best hostel :)

By far the best hostel I stayed in while traveling across Europe this spring. The brand new facilities were clean and state-of-the-art. The staff was international, super friendly, and very inviting. The neighborhood was awesome but not crowded or touristy and the clientele was great as well, I made some good friends while staying there.

I would definitely recommend this hostal for any traveller who is interested in having a great time in Barcelona. I would especially recommend it to people who are traveling alone, since they organize lots of activities at the hostel which is great to get to know other travelers. Thumbs up!

Liked: Fantastic hostel, only opened a week before I went there and it is one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in, all the staff are friendly, the facilities are all brand new and clean. There is free Internet access in the communal areas, an outside terrace. There is a communal kitchen area with microwaves, cookers ovens and a large fridge for food. One bonus was that in the evenings the hostel organises social events for the guests, for example sangria night, tapas or BBQ for only two euros. Also worthy of a mention are the extremely comfortable beanbags in the living area, around a very large tv! The location is good for the price, with two metro stations in walking distance, the hostel is around 15 minutes from Ramblas so you can get pretty much anywhere!

Matthew | 15 April 2012 | Hostelbookers

Definitely recommended! It’s brand new and very clean. The staff members were all so friendly and helpful. There were organized events, including dinners for only 2 euro, 3 out of 5 nights I was there. Each bunk has its own light and electrical outlet. Personal lockers in each room and every guest gets their own key. Safe and quiet location but also close to the Metro and food. I loved staying here!

Brand new, modern, clean, quiet in the dorms and fun in the common areas. Each bed has its own light and powerplug. The staff were awesome, open and friendly. There’s a great common area with tvs, wifi, computers, bean bags and tables where you can hang out and meet people and a big kitchen. Cool realxed vibes. Gracia is close to the centre and is a really cool area with lots of bars and plazas. The best thing, which I’ve never seen in any other hostel: at 11.30 the overhead lights are turned off in the dorms so people can actually sleep. Each bed has its own personal light so each person can still come in and do what they need to do, but without disturbing the other guests. This is great cos sometimes you really do just need to sleep in a hostel. And people who want to party and talk can do it in the cool common area

We spent 5 days in Barcelona and had stayed in 3 different hostels, of which Sant Jordi Gracia was by far the best. Being one of the first to stay at this hostel, everything was very new and clean. Great facilities: showers have hot water, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the atmosphere of the place is really comfortable with cool decorations. Though the location is a bit far from the center by foot, the metro is close. Staff is awesome and super helpful, I definitely recommend this hostel!

Loved my stay with 5 friends @ Sant Jordi Gracia. Would recommend it to anyone, and would go back in a minute if I had the chance.

After staying at the hostel, I worked for a company that I wrote a blog post for, about the area of Gracia.
