Loved it here. Great staff. Really comfortable atmosphere. Relaxed. Loved the movies they have running in the common room. The nightly pub crawls were loads of fun. The hostel really made Barcelona one of my favorite experiences in the past couple months.

Hostel had everything needed plus super helpful and friendly staff! Pub crawls were fun and common areas were cozy when you wanted to stay in. The place got cleaned every day and the bathrooms were always in perfect condition. The lockers weren’t very big but the overall security was good enough that it wasn’t an issue. We also saw the St Jordis at Alberg which looked nice and was much bigger if that’s more your thing, but the size of Diagonal was perfect Thanks for an awesome stay!!

I was recommended this hostel by one of my friends and It was the right decision to book with Sant Jordi’s. This is a very nice place to stay and enjoy. It is ideally located, very near to Sagrada Familia and very well connected by public transport. I would definitely recommend this hostel I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Sant Jordi Diagonal. The staff was very friendly and supportive. Gerg and Coco we awesome. Everything at St Jordi was most excellent. This is one of the most welcoming hostels I’ve stayed at in Europe (and I traveled for five months!) The facilities are extra clean, there’s a nice kitchen for you to use, and organized activities every night. The best part are the staff: Coco, Greg, and Hernan. Thank you all for a wonderful stay! Best hostel to stay at and I have been traveling all over Europe for the past 3 months. Greg stayed at reception way past closing to make sure I got in alright and was awesome. Everything was clean, the kitchen was nice and the chill-out rooms are really cool. He even put me in a 4 bedroom instead of a 6 for no extra charge. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a great hostel in the perfect location.

We had a wonderful experience at St. Jordi. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming that by the end of the week felt like family. The hostel was perfectly clean (the entire hostel was cleaned daily) and there was a lot of common space for socializing (comfortable TV room, 3 computers with wifi, a large kitchen, dining area and more common space with a ping pong table). We felt completely safe. Great neigbhorhood and 2 locked doors to get inside. There were always people out and about.

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed at! (And I have been to many) It was clean, safe, fun, and had lots of options for recreation or just relaxion. Perfect blend of a damn good time, great location and awesome place to take a breather if you need to chill. Really good cooking facilities if the budget is taking a hammering otherwise get to the cheap Japanese buffet and get some all you can eat fresh meat and veg down you! Easy as to get to from the airport or train station via the underground. Definitely one of the best hostels we stayed at all across Europe. First time in a hostel for me, and I just loved it!! The staff was really helpfull, and sooo nice!! There’s everything you need to spend an incredible journey (as it was for me). I could talk with great people from all over the world. And the place is very cosy and welcoming. After a day of wandering through the city, you’re glad to go home. And yes, it really felt like home. This was by far the best hostel I have stayed in anywhere in the world. It felt less like a hostel and more like a home! All of the staff is friendly, kind, and extremely hospitable. The accommodations are very neat and clean. I highly recommend Sant Jordi to anyone in the Barcelona area. I planned only to stay two nights, but it was such a lovely place and environment, I stayed 5 more!

Definitely i had such great times in sant jordi diagonal. Everything was amazing. The vibe, the friendly staff always ready to help and to give all information that you need. They also have ac in the rooms and in the common areas which is perfect when barcelona is hot like a oven. The toilets are good as well with hot water if you want. The location is very good and the pub crawl that they doing every night is just just awesome! You can go to some of the best clubs in Barcelona for free! Try it!

This was one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s perfect for single travellers, because it’s really difficult not to make new friends. There are organised bar crawls everynight and free entry into some of Barcelona’s best clubs, so you can’t miss out on the nightlife. But everyone was also respectful, and didn’t make too much noise while others were trying to sleep. The facilities are great and everything is really clean. All the staff here are doing an amazing job. Well done guys!

Awesome hostel, perfectly located, and a great atmosphere. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. I was sick during my stay and the staff checked on me and even offered to pick up things at the store for me. Just amazing. 500 characters are too few to describe the excellence that is Sant Jordi Diagonal. I just hope my review can actually live up to the great experience I had of staying with them for around 9 nights. One of the most inviting hostels my friends and I stayed in around Europe. The organised pub crawls were a highlight – really relaxed and fun. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, made our stay so easy. Had to extend our stay from three nights to eight because we enjoyed ourselves so much!

great place! you can do everything you want. you can cook in a clean kitchen. you can watch fun movie on cozy couch. you can use internet in pc room. you can go to club and bar with staff. all staff are so kind and helpful. especially i really want to thank Greg. Sant Jordi is an great hostel! The location is great, both in the center of the city and close to both restaurants and supermarkets. The hostel itself is nice and cozy, with good bed and rooms. (Me and my buddy extended our stay twice, so we’ve tried three rooms and they all hold the same high standard). Kudos for the free internet and free bar crawls! And last but not least a big shout out to Greg, coolest staff member there is!! Thanks for making our stay awesome! Take care!

The Saint Jordi Diagonal Hostel is fantastic, its a great atmosphere to meet people but its not too big or noisy and never queue for bathroom or kitchen. And little things like encouraging people to leave and use leftover items.The staff are exceptionally friendly and there are lots of suggestions and maps for places to go and things to do. I cannot recommend this hostel highly enough, i was meant to stay in Barcelona for 7 days but ended up staying for 10 mostly due to how cool the hostel was!

Staff were so friendly and made me feel at home. The people who stay at this hostel are all really friendly and it is a great place to meet people. The dorm was clean, beds comfortable and mine had a balcony which was really cool. The kitchen had everything you need to make food, and there were computers and good wifi. The pub crawls are really fun also. If you want to party, definitely stay at this hostel!!

I wish I would have spent more time here. By far the best hostel I experienced in Europe. I can not wait to go back! The staff was insanely nice and hung out with all playing the guitar while we drank. The hostel is a bit smaller but it really gives you the chance to interact with others in the hostel. We cooked together and all played drinking games. I have no complaints at all about this hostel!

SANT JORDI DIAGONAL IS THE BEST! I had such an amazing time there, I even extended my stay! The hostel and bedrooms are well airconditioned, the common areas such as dining room & lounge rooms are comfy and inviting, the kitchen has GREAT facilities – fridge, , oven, stove, pots and pans and equipment. They don’t provide a breakfast but it really isn’t necessary! There is a supermarket only a 2 minute walk away and everything there is SO cheap! The hostel staff are truly so amazing! I LOVED IT!

Best hostel in Barcelona for sure! Clean, very safe, in an awesome neighborhood, really easy to find on the metro and everywhere is easily accesible from the beach to the park guell (I did them both in one day). What really makes this place stand out is the staff. They do a pub crawl every night that is awesome, pool parties, beach parties, you name it. Greg, Hernan, Matheus, and Diego are awesome and super helpful, they definitely made my stay in Barcelona buenisimo!!!!!

Really good place. Right on the main drag near La Sagrada Familia, some nice tapas bars and a market. Staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and actually have air-conditioning, which is essential in the Summer. It is impossible not to make friends as you invariably get roped into the pub crawl down Las Ramblas.

From the moment I stepped in to the hostel I felt welcomed and accommodated. The staff are very friendly and more than happy to give you any advice and information you may need whilst in Barcelona. I valued the fact that they made an effort to learn my name and that they were very inclusive of all guests in hostel activities. The place was very neat and clean and the priority of the staff was and I hope always remains the happiness and safety of it guests. I had a great time there.

Sant Jordi was a great place for me to start off my stay in Barcelona! I came to the city alone, and left it having made many connections just by staying at the hostel! It was a fun and welcoming place to stay at, in large part due to the great staff working there (hi Hernán!!) I actually just suggested to a friend who is traveling to stay in one of the Sant Jordi hostels…I know whenever I next make it to Barcelona, I’ll be sure to stay at Sant Jordi again!

Ideal location, very clean, spacious rooms, great common areas for socializing, they take you out every night of the week, but unlike some party hostels it’s also very well-kept and comfortable to actually sleep and hang out in.

I am a shy person and had no trouble meeting people here .The hostel is equipped with two small lounges, which makes it incredibly easy to meet people. Every night, the hostel organized a place for everybody to go to. Even if you don’t love to party this is the perfect place. Since everybody goes out to a nearby bar or organized party, the hostel gets very quiet after 11. The staff is very helpful and fun to talk with. The facilities are clean. Its location is perfect with wifi and computers.

Bunk beds were very comfy, air-con in rooms and the hostel was in a good location, close to public transport.

i loved the place, the staff was excellent, the location on the diagonal is really the place you want to be located in the heart of the city close to Passic de Gracia, a short walk to the Gaudi Houses, a short 15 minute walk to placa cataluna and the ramblas. But for me Matheus the manager had to be one of the coolest guys I met all summer, and Rafa the night dude is pretty awesome too. Very safe place with lockers and security cameras, a nice kitchen and a great vibe thanks Sant Jordi.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in. Clean, centrally located, small enough that you get to meet everyone but they organise meetups with the other hostels at night where 60+ people get together to go on a bar crawl. Thoroughly recommend!!

The hostel was great and had alot of character. The staff were fantastic and very pleasant, I felt at home right away. Its a great little lay out, easy to get to from the airport and its location is brillant. I would definately recommend this to anyone.

Probably the cleanest hostel I\’ve ever stayed in – I\’m talking immaculate! Friendly staff, comfy beds (with warm blankets) and a good location close to the Metro (it\’s quite a busy noisy road though) there’s a fancy bakery next door so the stairwells and lobby smell absolutely incredible

where do i start! i can probably honestly say, i have had the most fun in this hostel. its small but everyone comes together in the evenings and mornings!! there are nights out every day which the staff join in the fun, they are incredibly friendly and will go out of there way to make you feel welcomed (rafa!!!). the rooms are clean and spacious and i felt totally safe, if i do one day go back to barcelona i would choose to stay here woohoo!!!

This hostel was amazing, the staff are such great guys, they were all so helpful and friendly. I had an issue with my booking and they were very nice about it and did as much as they could to help me sort it out. I’m planning on coming back and staying again when I come back to Barcelona, I definitely recommend it to anyone going to Barcelona. You meet a lot of great people, there were always people hanging out in the common rooms which was cool and the pub crawl is a lot of fun too.

This place was amazing! We met awesome and genuine people during our week-long stay here and made so many memories. The hostel organizes events at night (first a bar and then free entrance to a club on some nights) that are a really wild time. The facilities are great and we really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Sant Jordi Diagonal is the way to go

I enjoyed how home-y this hostel was. The living spaces foster a strong sense of community within the hostel. I made friends by just sitting in the TV room for a while. Also the kitchen was well equipped, so it’s easy to cook here and save a bit of money on food.

The best hostel I’ve every stayed in. All the amenities you could hope for. Clean, plenty of space, kitchen available, free wifi and 3 free computer terminals, living room space with TV and movies. Best of all, every night a member of the staff from Diagonal and each of the other San Jordi locations in Barcelona (6 in total) gather all interested guests and everyone meets at a local bar or club. I also spent a night at the Sant Jordi Mambo Tango location. Equally praiseworthy.

It was my first hostel experience and was doubtful at first, but this place changed my view pretty fast. I was only there for 3 days but everyday was amazing! Good location, friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and all around fun place to be. Next time I come back to Barcelona I will most definitely come here for my stay!

Very good, clean with great facilities, the wifi was great and there were computers to use as well. Has a nice big kitchen equipped with everything you need and free tea There are many nice little areas to hang out and there’s a large dining room as well. Bathrooms are clean, no complaints. Overall a fantastic choice!

The people staying in the hostel became very close and began traveling else where together. This, in addition to the fabulous staff, make it an amazing place to stay!

They organize every day a night out with all the guests of all Sant Jordi hostels, that is perfect is if are travelling by yourself. The location is perfect: between the touristic area and Gracia.

Excellent hostel, will definitely come back if I return to Barcelona. The staff were very helpful, especially Matheus who was great.

This place is absolutely incredible. An amazing family atmosphere and extremely clean. I had the best 6 nights of my trip staying here. Special thanks to Matheus and Rick for making my trip! They were so helpful the entire time. Matheus is very knowledgeable of Barcelona, speaks multiple languages and was even kind enough to let me use his debit card to purchase tickets to the FC Barcelona Game. I cannot thank him enough! You MUST stay here while in Barca.

Excelent place to stay… very easy to get there, near to some turistic places and also from de subway, so you can get to any part of Barcelona. People from the hostel is 100% too, giving advices and hints. If I come back to Barcelona one day, I will be there again for sure! Tks Sant Jordi!!!!

Sant Jordi Diagonal is the best hostel in Barcelona! Parties every night, good location, wi-fi in all rooms and the staff is the best ever met in Europe, they are very helpfull with the guests!! Definitely my next time in Barcelona I will stay on Sant Jordi Diagonal!

Very good fun at this hostel, if you like to party, come to this hostel. We went to a different bar and club every night,shown to us by one of the hostel workers.T This was lots of fun and made everyone in the hostel very sociable. Also it is right at the intersection of two main roads so its easy to find your way around.

Fantastic hostel, great location. There was something to do every night, bringing together hostelers from the different Sant Jordi’s and they have paella night which I unfortunately I did not take advantage of. Air conditioned rooms a huge plus because of heat and humidity.

This was the most fun I could have imagined! It made staying in an awesome city so much better!

Best hostel we went to during our trip. Matias was very warm and welcoming, showed us around and invited us to a night out with other hostelers. They have a party of some sort almost every night (not at the hostel, it’s off site so you can have peace and quiet if you stay back). It’s such a social atmosphere here, we made friends quickly and then did our sightseeing/tours/etc with them. The computer room was great, toilets and showers clean, they even do your laundry for you at a fair price.

There is a reason this place has won awards. Location/security/cleanliness were all great, but what really makes this place are the knowledgable and – most importantly – HELPFUL staff who are willing to compromise and accomodate based on whatever situation they might have. Such an attitude only makes the traveller want to do all he/she can to be a good visitor! The staff are simply top-notch, as are the NIGHTLY bar/club crawls! (free!) highly recommend this hostel! It is very well located, the facilities are excellent (common room with tv and couches, computers, kitchen, etc.), the dorms are spacious with personal lockers, and the staff was great! Matias in particular was a lot of fun! Plus they organize parties every single night, if youre there I suggest you go to the Bar Chupitos the people there are crazy! Agin, great hostel to be at!

fantastic hostel for newcomers to Barcelona. Small enough to be really communal, but enough space to get away and chill on your own too. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the kitchen and common room stayed open till early hours and were far enough from the dorms not to disturb. They organise great nights out with the other Sant Jordi hostels to meet up at local bars which is great. Lockers and security was good too. Definitely recommend.

Great hostel! I had a lot of fun here. Staff was AMAZING, and they organized outings every night with the other Sant Jordi hostels. Other hostel residents were really fun to party with, friendly, a little crazy! Hostel was pretty clean, had free WiFi, kitchen, separate-gender shower rooms, common room w/TV. Great security, I felt totally safe there. Great location in center of city, in a beautiful old building w/ balcony view of Avinguda Diagonal. No hidden costs at all. Had a GREAT time there!

The location is convenient for seeing all the sights, and the staff was great. Only drawback was how loud it was – walls are pretty thin so I woke up every time someone came in from a night out. But clean, really nice people, comfortable beds, good lockers for your stuff, all in all a really great place I would recommend!

Good beds, clean, good facilities, fun activities and helpful staff. Although, the cleaner did have it in for me as I complained about her cleaning the bathroom at 11 am. Crazy women!!  Very good (safe) location to most things and not too close to La Rambla which is a good thing !! What made this place special was the people staying there. Good good times and great people!!

A great Hostel! Super Helpful & friendly staff, they give you all the information you need, plus they organize activities every night. It’s a great thing that there are other 3 hostels from the same chain, all of them small & cosy! but for activities there are always lots of ppl! Really clean! + the cleaning lady is very kind too! Recommended Hostel!
